The Pursuit of Happyness
With a duration of more than one hour, The Pursuit of Happyness
shows us about a lot of things. This movie tells the story of love, family, and American dream. In it also
shows various problems in life.
Chris Gardner (Will Smith), a clever and talented man, but he doesn’t
get the job according to his ability. To support his family, he had to work
part-time selling scanner. While the income is still less to meet their daily
needs. Overtime, his wife (Thandie Newton) is not strong to face these problems
and chose to leave Chris and her child names Christopher (Jaden Smith) is still
toddlers. Since becomes a single parent, Chris must devote time to work and
take care her son. After a while, Chris apply job as a broker in a firm, but
there he is doesn’t get pay.Before the
goal is reaches, Chris and Christopher face various problem. Because
Christopher at his side, Chris has a passion to address the issues until he
could achieve his dream of a “happiness”.
The Pursuit of Happyness is
an extraordinary movie, a lot of things we can take the lesson. This movie
teaches us that in order to achieve a goal there must be obstacles. If we want
to achieve that we want, then we have to break through the blokcade and believe
that we will make it.
In addition, the actors and actresses in The Pursuit of
Happyness have very good performance. Which makes this movie very
interesting.
On the other hand, The Pursuit of Happyness also have the
disadvantage that at the beginning of
the movie there is a scene that is not appropriate for viewing by
children.
To sum up, this movie is very interesting and suitable for
adolescence to adulthood as a motivation to live.
